The determination of the air filter grade and the influence of the dusty gas

Nov 20, 2017

For air filters, the following will continue its study, so that we can have a further understanding. And, we can also have in-depth understanding of its various aspects, to use the air filter correctly in the actual work

and get the desired filter effect, so as to ensure that the filter has good use effect.

1. The resistance and related parameters in the air filter

The resistance in the air filter has two parameters, initial resistance and final resistance, and they are defined differently. Initial resistance is the resistance of a new filter under the rated air volume, called initial resistance. The final resistance is the resistance when the filter capacity is large enough to be cleaned or replaced. Therefore, these two resistance parameters, in the numerical value, must be different.

In the final resistance, the dust containing capacity is also involved. Specifically speaking, the total mass of dust particles that can be accommodated when the air filter is final resistance at the rated air volume.

2. The determination of the filtering level

In general, determining the filtering level of the air filter is mainly due to the required cleanliness, and purification standards. Moreover, it is first to determine the final filter level, and then determine the other. If it is a general requirement of purification, use the primary efficiency filter. Moderate purification, is the primary efficiency and medium efficiency filters. And the super purification should use the primary efficiency, medium efficiency and high efficiency filter.

In addition, it needs to be noted that if it is multi-stage filtering, then, between the adjacent two filters, the filter level is not much difference, otherwise. Otherwise, the first level filtration can not play a protective role in the post-filtration.

3. The effect of dusty gas properties on the air filter

The dusty gas has a great influence on the air filter, so the gas properties should be analyzed, and some specific parameters, such as temperature, humidity, acid and alkali degree, and the number of organic solvents should be known. Because some air filters can be used at high temperatures, and some can only be used at ambient temperature, so, we need to know the gas temperature to select the appropriate filter.

4. Select the product according to the filter characteristics

The relevant parameters of air filter mainly include filtration resistance, dust containing capacity, penetrating power, filtering air speed, air volume and filtration efficiency. If the conditions permit, the filter with low filtration resistance, large dust containing capacity, large air volume and high filtration efficiency should be selected. Moreover, it should also make the installation convenient and the price  moderate. Moreover, this is also in line with economic performance.
